Haynes 230 Nickel Based SuperAlloy

Haynes 230 (UNS N06230) is a high‑performance nickel‑chromium‑tungsten‑molybdenum alloy formulated for exceptional high‑temperature mechanical properties and excellent resistance to aggressive service environments.

Haynes 230 Alloy Basic Introduction

Haynes 230 (UNS N06230) is a high performance Nickel-chromium-tungsten-molybdenum alloy formulated for exceptional high temperature mechanical properties and excellent resistance to aggressive service environments.

Haynes 230 combines excellent high temperature strength, superior resistance to nitriding atmospheres, and remarkable long term thermal stability. The alloy offers good fabricability, with favourable forming and welding attributes. Owing to this distinctive set of properties, it is well suited for an extensive range of component applications within the aerospace and power generation industries.

Typical end use components include combustion cans, transition ducts, flame holders, thermocouple sheaths and other critical gas turbine parts.

Haynes Alloy 230 is solution annealed at 2150–2275 °F with subsequent rapid cooling, and is supplied in this heat treated condition in accordance with AMS 5891 and AMS 5878. It is amenable to both hot and cold working. All fabricated components shall be annealed and rapidly cooled to restore an optimum balance of material properties.
